Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm

It is very important to work carefully - one little mistake in the middle will make the whole answer wrong.

Below is Kahn video. First he explains how to multiply a 2 digit number times a 2 digit number. Slide over to 4:10 if you want to start with his explanation of 3 digits times 2 digits.
A fun place to practice (by yourself or with a friend) is to go to Math-playground multiplication jeopardy. This will give you practice with the 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 multiplication facts. Fluency with math facts is an important part of the new national Common Core Standards.
